welcome to
moon cult

yet above all these hangs
the moon as our proof...
she teaches us in dreams.
- Peter Gray, Apocalyptic Witchcraft

Moon Cult is a place for witches & occultists
to learn, gather, and develop their craft.
Created by Melissa Jayne Madara, Moon Cult is an online bookshop and education platform exploring witchcraft, folklore, and occult history. Our mission is to connect curious witches with high quality, accessible information, taking them deeper into their path and practice. We explore witchcraft from both practical and historical perspectives, offering classes and writings on animism, folk magic, traditional paganism, witch-lore, and the history of the magical arte. There are many ways to get involved:
Our Patreon hosts an ever-growing database of articles, resources, and classes, as well as monthly rituals and a lively Discord community. Memberships begin at $1/month, and even free members recieve updates on research, events, and more. The Moon Cult bookshop offers a curated selection of writing and scholarship on a variety of topics, focusing on high-quality research and small, independent press. Here, you can also find hand-crafted altarwares, materia magica, and a online library of lecture recordings. For a look at upcoming classes, events and appearances, please check our ever-changing curriculum.
