Beneath a moonless sky, the many faces of Hekate gather themselves at the crossroads. She haunts the liminal zone between worlds, descending from the highest heavens as she howls from the depths of hell. In one hand, she grips a dagger; in another, a torch; in a third, the keys that promise power, protection, dreams, love, and revenge. To behold her brings a madness of whirling contradictions, impossible to apprehend except at the limits of human cognition. She is unthinkable, ever-expanding, and ageless as the cosmos.


Few figures in mythology and magic have inspired such fascination, or accumulated as many layers of history, folklore, ritual, and modern interpretation, as the goddess Hekate. Join us for an intensive exploration of Hekatean lore and magic, stretching from the ancient world to contemporary practice. We’ll examine the sources behind the familiar stories, investigate her associations with crossroads, keys, torches, the dead, dogs, night, and…
