In both devotion and in magic, the altar is the seat of the divine. Grand or modest, it is the sacred ground upon which craft is executed and pacts are sealed, where spirits are fed and spells are nourished. To work the altar is an effort in dedication and adoration, and to craft these sacred spaces for ourselves immerses us in a sea of icons, images, and sympathetic symbols. 

This class is tailored for practitioners of any experience level, and will look at many examples of altarcraft from occult history. We will explore the role these sacred spaces play in magic and witchcraft, and analyze how conceptions of the witch’s altar have changed throughout the centuries.
